Saudi Logistics Center (SLC) was introduced as a workforce to join hands with Saudi Bin Ladin Group (SBG) in North South Railway Project (CTW-100). The setup and workforce started its operations under the sponsorship of SBG and under the umbrella of SBG-PBAD management in 2007.The prestigious railway network was undertaken and it provided NLC with an opportunity to prove its caliber. NLC completed the base earth work of CTW-100 and S&T camp support between Hatifa, Damam and Jouf covering a distance of 2400 kilometer. The Company has a large fleet of vehicles and logistics equipment on its inventory and is responsible for transportation of construction materials, precast, rails and port cabins. The Transport Wing played a critical role in the North South Railway Project (CTW-100). The assets owned by the Wing are also employed outside SBG Projects. The Operation and Maintenance (O&M) is undertaking S&T-100, a joint venture between SBG and Thales and is a part of overall NSR Project spreading over an area of 2400 kilometers from Ras Az-Zawr to Jalimid.
Saudi Logistics Center got Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of camps from SBG in 2009 and established Containerized Camps to support the manpower working on S&T-100 Project and for storage of Signaling and Telecommunication equipment that are being installed at site. Initially signed for two years, the contract was extended for another two years primarily due to satisfactory performance of SLC. The Company is rated as one of the best management companies in the Kingdom. SBG offered construction project to SLC and subsequently Civil Works Wing was set up in 2007. The Wing has completed a number of earthwork projects. The Workshop Wing of SLC comprises of highly qualified and experienced tradesmen which provide on site workshop services.
